The State’s failure to pay its bills and adequately fund education have forced local property taxes to skyrocket. Senator Noland supports an overhaul of Illinois’ tax structure to provide a graduated income tax, property tax relief and an Earned Income Tax Credit increase, while balancing the State’s budget and fixing the structural deficit. Illinois current system is unsustainable will result in severe cuts that will put the state at a disadvantage in the long term.
